As Zesto's menu grew, so did its popularity in southern Indiana! Patrons began to notice the business opportunity which led to many having an interest in expanding the company.  Don and Dottie had no intentions of franchising their concept and neither did their daughter, Lisa, who took over the family business in 1999 when her parents retired. The third generation however was interested and took the steps to finally offer the opportunity starting with changing the name. Unknowingly, "Zestos" had been trademarked, leaving them with the challenge of coming up with a new brand name. In 2006, they trademarked "Chillers" and just 4 short years later, they officially had a franchise!

That "keeping it simple" philosophy that flipped a failing location into the Zestos we all know and love still rings true at Chillers! We pride ourselves on continuing the excellence of our roots as we navigate new and exciting growth. With over 40+ years of ice cream experience, we look forward to continuing to serve you for many more decades to come!
